  • A once-weekly GLP-1 injection for long-term weight management
  • In clinical trials, patients lost roughly 15 to 21% of body weight over 68 to 72 weeks
  • Dose ranges from 0.25mg to 2.4mg of semaglutide, or 2.5mg to 15mg of tirzepatide
  • Compounded in a US-licensed pharmacy and prescribed by a ProSupply RX clinician
  • A BMI of 27 or above, or 25 with a weight-related condition
  • Appetite and cravings that diet and training alone have not resolved
  • Not for anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2
  • Intake & review — Complete a medical intake. A licensed clinician reviews your history, labs, and goals to confirm you're a candidate.
  • Titrated dosing — Start at a low weekly dose and step up on a schedule your provider sets, minimising GI side effects along the way.
  • Ongoing adjustment — Check in through the platform. Dose, nutrition, and protein targets are adjusted as the numbers move.
  • Weeks 1 → 4 — Appetite quiets within days. Food noise reduces. Most users lose 2–5% of body weight in the first month as portion sizes drop naturally.
  • Weeks 4 → 12 — Steady weekly loss — typically 1–2 lbs. Cravings continue to subside. Energy stabilizes as insulin sensitivity improves.
  • Months 3 → 6 — Total loss often reaches 10–15% of starting weight. Body composition shifts toward leaner mass. Metabolic markers normalize.
  • Less hunger and smaller portions within the first 2 to 4 weeks

A clinical primer

Weight regain isn't willpower. It's a defended set point.

After weight loss, the body raises hunger hormones and lowers energy use to pull you back. GLP-1 therapy works on that defended set point directly, which is why it succeeds where restriction fails.

Three metabolic drivers
01
Appetite

Central hunger signaling

GLP-1 receptors in the hypothalamus reduce how often and how strongly hunger signals fire, so the constant food noise quiets down.

02
Gastric

Delayed gastric emptying

Food stays in the stomach longer, so fullness arrives earlier in a meal and lasts for hours afterward.

03
Metabolic

Improved insulin response

Glucose-dependent insulin release and lower glucagon flatten post-meal spikes and the crashes that drive snacking.

A companion recommendation

Bloodwork gives your clinician a baseline to dose precisely, and the markers to prove the plan is working.

Fig. 02 — The felt experience

It's exhausting, negotiating with your own appetite.

Most people arrive having succeeded many times and been pulled back every time. That pattern is physiological, not a personal failing.

  • 01 Constant food noise you can't turn down.
  • 02 Losing twenty pounds and finding them again.
  • 03 Energy that collapses every afternoon.
  • 04 Clothes that stopped being a choice.

Treat the signal, not the symptom.

Compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide is stepped up slowly from a low starting dose to limit nausea while your appetite recalibrates. Your clinician adjusts based on your weekly response rather than a fixed schedule.

RECOVERY

Whole-body inflammation that slows recovery from training.

GLP-1 medications are a class of prescription drugs that improve blood sugar control and can also lead to weight loss. The class is known as glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) agonists. How much weight you lose depends on which GLP-1 drug you use and the dose.

The more common side effects include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Side effects can usually be reduced by stepping the dose up correctly, so take the medication exactly as your clinician prescribes to keep the risk and severity of side effects low. Anti-nausea medication such as ondansetron (generic Zofran) can also help.

Follow the prescribed doses and your clinician's directions exactly to keep the risk and severity of side effects as low as possible.

If you miss your weekly dose, contact us before taking your next one.

Store these medications in the refrigerator between doses.

GLP-1 medications can be taken at any time of day, with or without food. If your dose is weekly, take it on the same day each week.
